Another Door Opens...

I feel as though I can take a deep breathe!
I am finally at that place where I feel comfortable with my wedding progress. I'm coming up on 6 months till THE day and I have to say I'm not stressed. I have my centerpieces finished, bridal attire is set, cake is chosen, guest list is underway and I've even had time to pack up all my hope chest things for our new home. I have a lot more to do this month but here is a look at what I've accomplished in June.

I finally got around to working on my little freebie door... which I still don't know what I will use it for.  It was pretty beat up, and discarded on the side of the road, but nothing a little sanding and paint can't fix!

I found yet another door at a rummage sale a few weeks ago. This one I had other plans for. I realized it would make a perfect window to go with my other three I have for the seating chart.
While at the sale, I also snagged another suitcase for only $5! This gray one will look splendid with the others to hold the cards.

Finished Centerpieces! Minus the green berries, which I have yet to purchase.

I thought the tables may appear to be too plain so I bought some fabric and decided to make some simple place mats to tie in the green.

I ended up having some extra scraps so I experimented with boutonnieres.... They're definitely a work in progress. I still haven't decided if I like artificial or real.

I absolutely love this element of the wedding. Pictures truly don't do these justice. I love all my grandparents and my parents and appreciate the love they have for each other.

A Little Indian Element

Well there you have it. A lot of painting, collecting, and thousands of branches later, I am on my way to finishing my wedding decor. It's taken some time and quite a bit of patience but I feel good and I'm looking forward to this wedding more and more everyday.

Frames, Frames....And More Frames!

Here is a little recap of the progress I have made over the last few weeks.

Table Numbers! I am only 5 frames away from finishing my table numbers. I am so excited and I will be relieved when that part of the process is over.

In the mean time I have continued to collect frames in order to paint them or do something with them. Picture frames are useful in so many ways!  The big white one will be painted and turned into a sort of guestbook with a twist, for people to sign. I’m really excited for that project!

Tree branches have multiplied in the Belanger house. I’ve collected a few more and thanks to a friend’s wedding she let me have her leftovers. Thanks Katelin!

The one thing I have not had much luck in is finding berries. If anyone knows where to find a good deal on decorative green berries please enlighten me! I have been on the hunt for these little guys for quite some time.

Candles! I am so thankful that Joel found these candles for us. They are quality candles and they smell amazing.  They should have no problem burning all night.

I’m still collecting vases in abundance so if anyone would like to donate some, I would be more than happy to take them off your hands.

I can’t forget about the kids! We did this at my sister’s wedding and it was a big hit. I started collecting activity books, toys, and pictures books for the reception. I plan on having a few guests of the much younger persuasion and I thought it necessary to keep them entertained after dinner. A kid’s table filled with things that interest them is the perfect way to keep the kids occupied before and after dinner.

Last but not least, my most favorite purchase since my dress would have to be the headpiece I plan on wearing for the wedding. I found it at Anthropologie while on vacation and I just fell in love with it. The minute I put it on, and my mom started getting emotional, I knew it was perfect! Plus when I saw where it was made…..I knew it was meant to be.

So there you have it! My wedding progress thus far is going smoothly. I’m loving it and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty and do some more projects.
